Miss Belvedere

In 2007, Tulsa made a big hooplah and unearthed a Plymouth Belvedere that had been sealed away near City Hall in 1957. The absurd contrast between the tone of the celebration and the actual condition of the car inspired me to write and record this song. I'm no musician, as you can hear for yourself, but I do consider it a lyrical achievement to rhyme "consternation" and "oxidation." I cited my public performance of this song at the Tulsa Public Library as my qualifying performance for membership in ASCAP. (MP3, 5MB)
